Wendy's sold to investor for $2.34B

Investor Nelson Peltz, whose Triarc Cos., which owns fast food chain Arby's, has purchased hamburger chain Wendy's International for a reported $2.34 billion. The deal was done over the objections the Wendy's founding Thomas family. The two brands will be operated out of their existing headquarters. Advertising-wise, MDC Partners' shop Kirshenbaum Bond + Partners and Publicis agency Saatchi, each in New York, share the Wendy's account, while Omnicom's Merkley + Partners, also in New York, handles creative for Arby's.
