Google urges Congress to invest in enhanced geothermal

Dan Reicher, Google.org's director of climate and energy initiatives, testified before a congressional committee on the future of enhanced geothermal systems. Last year, Google.org invested $10.25 million in EGS and praised it as the next "killer app" in clean energy. Google, which has developed its PowerMeter application to track energy usage, also encouraged Congress to fund smart meters.
