Ohio schools plan to offer new DNP program

The University of Akron and Kent State are working on a program offering a doctorate for advanced nursing practice as early as fall 2010. The Ohio schools will begin by offering the program to students with a master's degree who are working as advanced practice nurses, with the goal of opening it to students with a bachelor's degrees in nursing.
