TSA encourages freight forwarders to take on screening duties

New regulations require screening for 50% of outbound air cargo shipments from the U.S. Screening outbound shipments offers potential profits as well as risks for freight forwarders, observers say. The TSA is responsible for screening the cargo but, because it has limited resources, has asked freight forwarders to handle the screening duties.
