New disclosure rules are creating opportunities for investment advisers to work on 401(k) plans, writes Stuart Zimmerman, CPA/PFS. Investors will increasingly turn to advisers to act as 401(k) fiduciaries in lieu of traditional firms, he predicts. Advisers can take advantage of the shift by overseeing plans in-house or by outsourcing the work to a management provider.
