ICD-10 issues drive provider interest in computer-aided coding

Almost half of providers contacted for a KLAS report said they intend to buy a computer-assisted coding tool over the next two years, in part to compensate for productivity and reimbursement losses that could result from the switch to ICD-10 for coding. The report cited 3M, OptumInsight and Dolbey as among the top three CAC vendors being considered by providers.
