Juniper regains footing in Q1 on U.S. switch demand

Juniper Networks posted revenue of $1.03 billion in the first quarter, topping analysts' estimates and pushing share prices of the networking-equipment firm up slightly in combined market and extended trading Tuesday. The company, which has been losing market share to rival Cisco Systems, said strong demand from U.S. cable and Internet companies helped offset revenue pressure tied to economic uncertainty in Europe.
