Pentagon responds to state concerns over budget cuts

Pentagon officials have offered to fund more aircraft for the Air National Guard after being pressured by state governors who are worried that proposed budget cuts will shrink fleets and personnel. Defense Secretary Leon Panetta and Air Force commanders struck a compromise to divert $400 million from the Air Force budget to fund 24 C-130 transport planes.
