Physician concerns put Couplet Care plans on hold

Munroe Regional Medical Center in Ocala, Fla., has put its NICU and Couplet Care Model plans on hold after local pediatricians said they did not have enough input into development of the project, which they said could put patient safety at risk. The hospital wants to create a Level 2 NICU and move to a model in which mothers and newborns are kept in the same room.
