Committee budgets $2.2 million for new state plane in Neb.

Nebraska Gov. Dave Heineman will likely get the plane he wants from the University of Nebraska Foundation. The state Legislature's Appropriations Committee voted Tuesday to include $2.2 million in the state budget to purchase the 12-year-old Beechcraft Super King Air B200 -- something it had voted against earlier. Heineman says he needs it to visit rural areas in the state.
