Concrete placement begins for light-rail transit bridge in Ore.

Kiewit Infrastructure West has started concrete placement for the first bridge segment of the Portland-Milwaukie light-rail transit bridge over the Willamette River in Oregon. The contractor is using two concrete form travelers erected at opposite ends of the west bridge tower that will be used to help cast 16-foot by 75-foot segments. The placement for the east tower segment will begin on April 30, and the two segments will be joined next spring.
