Fabric roof returns atop Minn. sports arena to reduce snow buildup

The fabric dome at the Bielenberg Sports Center in Woodbury, Minn., has been inflated again. The fabric roof had been deflated as the first step in a $21.8 million project that would add a fixed roof to a new, 90,000-square-foot field house. However, recent snowfall required the roof to be inflated to allow snow to slide off instead of becoming a pool of water on the fabric.
