U.S. hospitals serve up healthier snacks, meals

U.S. hospitals are eliminating junk food and serving healthier snacks and meals to patients, employees and the public, spurred on by initiatives such as Health Care Without Harm's Healthy Food in Health Care program. Dartmouth-Hitchcock hospital in New Hampshire and Baptist Health South Florida make healthy eating part of employee wellness programs, while San Francisco General Hospital and John Muir Health in California are reducing the amount of meat served in meals.
