Effects of ACA plan cancellations may have been overstated

Many plans that did not comply with the Affordable Care Act and were canceled would have been canceled by the subscribers regardless of the law, a study in Health Affairs found. The individual market has always been subject to considerable churn, and fewer than half the people with individual policies between 2008 and 2011 retained those policies for a full year, the study found.
