Fla. committee to study workforce gaps

The Greater Pensacola Chamber of Commerce in Florida is teaming up with the University of West Florida to study the skills gap in the area workforce. The analysis will compare the needs of businesses and industry with the number and capabilities of trained workers emerging from schools and training programs. "The workforce in our community is changing because companies are looking for more specific skill sets," said Jennifer McFarren, director of workforce development for the chamber.
