Geometry students in Ore. build underwater robots

Geometry students at a middle school in Oregon are using their skills to build underwater robots. While designing and building the robots, which will be entered into a regional competition next month, students learned about electrical circuits and buoyancy. "I have always liked to incorporate some instant 'engineering' challenges into my math classes, and they are always done with such a high level of student interest and engagement," teacher Anne Ulstad said.
