International markets boost Tupperware sales

Tupperware reported strong first quarter sales of $663 million, slightly higher than last year. The company's net income was $52.2 million, dropping 10.3% from last year. A company report says emerging markets accounted for 64% of first-quarter sales. Sales were particularly strong in Turkey, South Africa, China and Mexico, and dropped in the U.S. and Canada.
