Starbucks to launch soft drinks this summer

Starbucks will begin offering a handcrafted, carbonated beverage called Fizzio at 3,000 U.S. locations as well at stores in Singapore, South Korea and China this summer. The soft drinks, available in three flavors, are the latest product expansion for the company, which recently added baked goods, cold-pressed juice and tea as well as wine and beer in select locations. The new carbonated beverages are meant to provide a "healthy, all natural, preservative-free alternative to sugar-filled sodas, with the theater of a custom handcrafted beverage," said CEO Howard Schultz.
