Telecommuting can qualify as workplace attendance, court rules

Employees don't necessarily need to travel to an office to fulfill attendance obligations, a federal appeals court ruled this week. The ruling stemmed from a case in which a worker argued that Ford Motor should have allowed her to telecommute in order to accommodate her irritable bowel syndrome.
