Annapolis plans free, ad-supported wireless

Annapolis Wireless Internet, a local, private company, is planning a free, advertising-supported Wi-Fi network for the Maryland capital. Company president Philip McQuade said, "You could easily compare it to radio. People listen to the radio with non-intrusive advertising, and that's what we've done to the Internet."
