Dark liquidity pools require new trading tools

Banks are working to develop trading tools for their clients to access the dark liquidity pools, which are venues that do not publicly quote prices. "The volume of trading through dark pools will grow as the overall pie gets bigger," said Greg Tusar, head of electronic trading at Goldman Sachs. "Dark pools can interact with liquidity that has been frozen in blotters and allows it to melt and come back into the marketplace."
