Cosan to pay $826M for Exxon's service stations, assets

Brazil-based Cosan will purchase Exxon Mobil Corp.'s Esso gas station chain and other assets in Brazil for $826 million as part of its plan to sell ethanol directly to customers. The deal will turn the company into the fifth-largest fuels distributor in the country and marks one of the first major pacts between an ethanol producer and an oil company.
