Software creates three-way fusion of PET, CT and MR images

New software developed by Swiss researchers allows radiologists to combine and align PET, CT and MR images into one fused image. "Image fusion of PET and MR is expected to provide significant information that is not obvious from the two modalities presented separately; this can increase the accuracy and therefore confidence in diagnosis," said the University Hospital of Geneva's head of nuclear medicine.
