Tractor Supply shares down following first-quarter loss

Facing a weakened economy and uncertain market for outdoor power equipment, Tractor Supply Inc. shares dropped 6.1% Thursday. The decline came a day after the Brentwood, Tenn.-based company announced a first-quarter loss and downgraded its sales outlook for the year. Tractor Supply markets equipment to hobby farmers and ranchers.
