Colonoscopy not a test to be skipped to save money

The economy has people wondering if they can put off some health care screenings to save money, but experts say a colonoscopy should not be skipped because it's a potentially life-saving test. Physicians at Digestive Health Specialists in Winston-Salem, N.C., found one case of colon cancer and nine cases of precancerous polyps among 50 people they saw during a recent free screening clinic.
