College Board looks at administering SAT during school day

The Irving school district in Texas was part of a pilot program that allowed high-school juniors to take the SAT during the school day -- an experiment that is intended to make the tests more accessible to disadvantaged students. The tests are typically taken on Saturdays away from the school. The College Board, which administers the SAT, is testing the idea in two districts nationwide.
