Banks have been rushing to offer smartphone applications, but early adopters are now starting to improve their apps. Bank of America has acknowledged that it has room to improve its apps and is planning to launch updated versions in the next few weeks. "Overall these new apps will be much faster for our customers," said Marc Warshawsky, senior vice president of mobile channel planning and design at BofA. "They're built a little bit differently than our existing applications, such that the interaction between the customer and the bank should be much quicker."
