Confectionery brands have promoting Easter products through social media campaigns in the weeks leading up to the holiday. Peeps went from 2,400 Facebook "likes" in early April to more than 72,000, partly by offering digital coupons, gift cards and recipes; Hershey held a "Twitter party" with Easter-related giveaways.
