Experts study prospects of tapping Ohio's dormant oil wells

Industry experts are considering the possibilities for extracting oil from northwest Ohio's dormant wells amid surging gas prices. Breakthroughs in horizontal drilling methods could help tap that oil, said Larry Wickstrom, head of the Ohio Department of Natural Resources' geology division. "I think we'll see some activity back up there again if the prices stay like this," Wickstrom said.
