Mich. city approves new renewable-energy targets

The City Council of Ann Arbor, Mich., approved a plan to obtain 30% of the city's power from renewable sources by 2015 and reduce city-generated greenhouse-gas missions from by 50% from 2000 levels by 2015. The council also directed staff to study options for purchasing electricity from in-state wind turbines.
