Racing industry to consider banning race-day medication

Horse racing organizations including the Racing Medication & Testing Consortium, the National Thoroughbred Racing Association and the American Association of Equine Practitioners plan to meet for an international summit this summer to discuss banning race-day dosages of certain medications, including several anti-bleeding drugs. Currently, racing organizations in each state set their own medication and testing rules.
