World Trade Center transit hub's estimated costs could reach $3.8B

The transit center -- which will connect to 13 subway lines -- will be the most expensive part of the World Trade Center redevelopment in Manhattan. The cost could reach $3.8 billion, an increase of 70% from the initial estimates, according to a report obtained by The Record. Officials at the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, however, "remain confident" they can complete it for the budgeted $3.4 billion.
