Miami to get $1B mixed-use development

A $1.05 billion mixed-use complex will be built in Miami starting later this year. The Brickell CitiCentre project, which includes improvements to the Eighth Street Metromover station, will feature about 2.8 million square feet of hotel, office, residential, retail and entertainment space. The project is expected to create 1,700 jobs during construction. It's the largest registered urban mixed-use LEED Neighborhood Development projects in the planning stage in the U.S.
