TEPCO to build wells at Fukushima Daiichi plant

Tokyo Electric Power will construct wells to shift the direction of groundwater near the Fukushima Daiichi nuclear in Japan. Radioactive cooling water and groundwater at the facility have been mixing, raising the amount of polluted water there, according to a report. "By creating a groundwater bypass, the amount of water flowing [into the] reactor buildings is expected to be reduced by about 50 percent," the company said in a report.
