Deere plant in Wis. enhances riding mowers, utility vehicles

The John Deere factory in Horicon, Wis., is creating improvements for the company's riding lawn mowers and utility vehicles, according to this article. The plant has produced the X700 series, a line of lawn tractors with a mowing deck that can detach while the operator is seated. It also produces utility vehicles, which helps balance its workforce during the off-season for lawn equipment, said Steve Johnson, the plant's manager.
