Experts discuss harmonizing U.S.-EU trade reporting

Oliver Stuart, global head of derivatives operations for Morgan Stanley's institutional-securities group, said at ISDA's Annual General Meeting in Singapore that the U.S. and the EU need to find common ground on trade reporting. Having separate rules, Stuart warned, would be an operational headache. However, Thomas Benison, managing director of credit trading at JPMorgan Chase, noted difficulties in altering reporting platforms.
