Hormone discovery gives scientists hope to control diabetes

Harvard University scientists hope to help human diabetes patients after discovering a hormone that increases insulin production in mice. They have not yet reproduced the results in humans, but remain optimistic. If successful, the hormone could be useful for people with type 2 diabetes.
