Neurotic, anxious people tend to outperform expectations in group settings, while extroverts tend to inspire confidence before eventually underperforming, according to researchers from Rutgers and UCLA. "Our intuition about the kind of people who make good teammates, which are often based on their personalities, are actually wrong," said Corinne Bendersky, associate professor at UCLA's Anderson School of Management.
