Harris Teeter is 1st grocer to offer USDA-certified Very Tender beef

Harris Teeter's Reserve Angus beef brand has earned the USDA's Very Tender beef certification, making Harris Teeter the first grocer to offer beef under the certification. The retailer says the certification is part of an effort to help shoppers better understand the meat choices they have when shopping there. "We are going above and beyond the norm to give our shoppers another measure of confidence they deserve when purchasing quality beef products. Our hope is that this label will help eliminate confusion at the meat case," Harris Teeter spokeswoman Danna Jones said.
