T-Mobile will double up on MIMO antennas for LTE consistency

T-Mobile US will begin to install antenna technology in several cities designed to provide more stability and consistency throughout wireless networks, the telecom said. The carrier will bring 4-by-2 multiple input-multiple output (4×2 MIMO) to Chicago, Dallas and San Antonio in doubling up on traditional 2x2 MIMO systems used in most Long-Term Evolution networks.
