Texas district embraces social media in pilot program

A Texas school district is embracing social media -- rather than fighting it -- through a pilot program that will allow teachers and students to use popular social media sites in the classroom. The pilot program, to run through the end of the school year, includes the use of YouTube's education arm -- YouTube.com/edu -- which allows students to access educational content.
