Timberland finds sales benefit with proximity marketing

Timberland is using a mobile application service by Swirl to send app users promotions when they enter retail stores or are within a certain distance of the store's entrance. Swirl has helped increase sales and build awareness of the Timberland brand by directing shoppers to store locations. "Proximity marketing wasn't only building store awareness, but also driving conversion and sales," Timberland's Rachel Panetta says in this interview.
