Ultrasound may help evaluate NEC in preemies, study says

Ultrasound may provide added information on premature infants with necrotizing enterocolitis, according to a report on a program at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. The study, in the American Journal of Roentgenology, adds to other research showing the benefits of ultrasound added to conventional radiography for evaluating bowel conditions.
