Study: Tornado-area buildings should use wind-resistant design

A new study recommends that buildings in tornado-prone areas incorporate wind-resistant design. APA -- The Engineered Wood Association, whose observations of tornado damage in Battlefield, Mo., in 2003 were included in the study, noted that much of the new construction didn't include relatively inexpensive improvements that would help protect against damage from high winds.
