Students get hands-on science experience

Inner-city students are conducting research at the Phoenix Zoo as part of an Arizona State University program to engage urban youth in hands-on science. "There is not a textbook on the market that comes close to motivating and engaging students in the way this field science project has inspired our students," said science teacher Karen Griff.
