Column: Schools should be more responsive to student needs

A former Providence, R.I., school board member says education improvements will result only from changing the way schools function to make them more responsive to student needs. "American schools will improve when they're designed to be engaging to the humans inside of them, and to nourish their abundant creativity. Responsiveness will save us," writes Providence Journal columnist Julia Steiny.
