Roundtable discusses possible changes to physician, imaging payments

The Senate Finance Committee in its first of three roundtable discussions considered lowering payments to imaging service providers to increase payments to primary care physicians. One of the suggestions is to adopt a Resource Based Relative Value Scale that will provide primary care providers a 5% increase in 2010, a 10% increase in 2011 and a 15% increase in the succeeding years.
