Credit card leak puts Blippy on the defensive

Blippy, a social network that lets users share details of their credit card purchases, found itself at the center of a PR firestorm, after some users realized their credit card details were showing up in Google search results. Blippy swiftly fixed the problem, but it drew complaints for not handling the gaffe transparently enough. The big question now is whether the error will prompt concerned credit card associations to make it more difficult for cardholders to join the network, Patricio Robles notes.
