N.Y. looks ahead to high-speed future with fast trains:

State planners are looking ahead to a high-speed future, when ultra-fast trains would carry commuters and travelers between Niagara and New York City in just five hours. Historically the trip has taken eight hours; although it is quicker today. By 2030, the state wants a high-speed rail system that cuts travel times even more.
