Prime Manhattan retail spot to test market pricing

A partnership led by the Carlyle Group is putting 666 Fifth Ave. in Manhattan back on the market with the hopes of getting $600 million to $700 million for the first and second floors. The retail space in this premium skyscraper goes for $2,500 per square foot. The owners say they have added value to the property by buying out the existing tenants who were occupying the space at below-market rents.
